Vandaag geen casual play vanwege toernooi/community events

Heb jij net als vele anderen het epische War of the Ring ook onaangetast in de kast staan? Kom je er maar niet aan toe om de regels uit te pluizen of zie je door de Free people en Shadow armies het bos niet meer?

Grijp nu je kans om bij Sauron Langelaan en Faan Gandalf aan te schuiven om een minutieuze uitleg te krijgen. Na deze dag kan het seal eindelijk van je eigen doos.

Faan zal een exemplaar van het spel meenemen. Neem vooral ook je eigen exemplaar mee. Bij meer interesse kan er op meerdere tafels gespeeld en geleerd worden.

Over War of the Ring:
War of the Ring is een episch strategisch bordspel, dat het mogelijk maakt voor de spelers om zich onder te dompelen in de wereld van JRR Tolkiens The Lord of the Rings. Ervaar grootse actie, dramatisch conflict, en memorabele personages.

Eén speler voert het commando over de vrije volkeren en is de trotse gastheer van de belangrijkste koninkrijken van de Third Age. De Horse-lords of Rohan, soldaten van Gondor en de Elven lords of Rivendell, leiden de verdediging van de laatste vrije rijken van Midden-aarde. Geconfronteerd met de hordes van Sauron leveren zij op het slagveld strijd in een wanhopige poging om het offensief te vertragen. Terwijl je de Fellowship of the Ring leidt, in hun zoektocht naar Mount Doom.

De schaduw speler leidt de hordes van de Duistere Heer en zijn meest krachtige volgelingen die proberen om de duisternis naar Midden-aarde te brengen. Legioenen van Orcs, Trolls, Wolfriders en de vreselijke Ringwraiths wachten op jouw commando. Jaag op de Ring-dragers en breng de “precious” terug naar zijn meester, of vernietig je vijanden met je onstuitbare legers.

Who’s in?

We will bring you the horror to Friends & Foes Amsterdam with this in-store Arkham Horror LCG invocation event.

The invocation event offers a new twist to Arkham Horror The Card Game gameplay: Ultimatums. With these, you will be challenged. We will force you to reevaluate strategies and discover an entirely new level of madness.

For this event we play in groups up to four players.

ATTENTION:
Sign in as a group or as an individual.
Monday -September 25th- we close registration for this event since we have an order deadline for the special event kits.

PRICES
Every attendee will get nice prizes: a Daisy Walker alternate art card, a Daisy Walker token and a gorgeously horrific playmat featuring Eixodolon’s Pet.

There will be an entrance fee of €15,00.

For now the date is set on december 17th. This may change if the release is postponed.

About ultimatums:
Before players begin play, whether it be a single scenario or an entire campaign, they must choose one or more Ultimatums. Each Ultimatum is a restriction, limitation, or additional rule that makes the game harder for that group of investigators.

Groups are not forced to choose any particular Ultimatum, and the choice of which Ultimatum(s) to enable must be unanimous among all investigators in the group.

Once enabled, the choice is permanent throughout the duration of the event.

Below is a sampling of the Ultimatums included in Invocation Kit:

Ultimatum of Dread:
Do not skip the mythos phase during the first round of each game.

Ultimatum of Chaos:
Each player’s starting deck of 30 non-signature, non-weakness cards must be selected at random from among all eligible options in that player’s collection.

Ultimatum of Induction:
Investigator decks can only contain level 0 cards. Investigators cannot earn or spend experience.

Ultimatum of Finality:
Campaign Mode only. If an investigator is defeated by physical damage, they are killed. If an investigator is defeated by mental damage, they are driven insane.

Vergeet niet je eigen deck, battlefield, characters, dobbelstenen, playmat plus resource, damage en shield tokens mee te nemen.

Players must use the same team, deck, and battlefield for the duration of the tournament.

RELAXED
Tournaments at this level are welcoming to all players, regardless of experience level. Players are encouraged to help each other improve and learn, so long as it does not significantly disrupt the
game. The focus is on creating a fun and friendly environment.

CONDUCT
All tournament participants are expected to act in a respectful manner during a tournament. If players have a dispute during a competition and cannot resolve it themselves, they must call for a
judge to resolve it and provide any rulings that are needed. All card interpretations during a tournament are a marshal’s responsibility, and he or she may overrule the rules documents
when a mistake or error is discovered.

Unsporting Conduct
Players are expected to behave in a mature and considerate manner and to play within the rules and not abuse them. This prohibits intentionally stalling a game for time, placing components with excessive force, inappropriate behavior, treating an opponent with a lack of courtesy or respect, cheating,
etc. Collusion among players to manipulate scoring is expressly forbidden. The organizer, at his or her sole discretion, may remove players from the tournament for unsporting conduct.
